My fitness regiment is my faith in motion. This is how the Lord taught me about faith in correlation to fitness. The keyword is “perseverance” I witnessed this first hand when I saw a trainer in a gym years go, kneeling next to this woman who was on her back on the floor, struggling to do sit-ups. With every crunch the lady gasped, “ it hurts,” but her trainer echoed “ we’ll just have to strengthen that muscle so it’ll stop hurting”. Her stiff tone baffled me at first, but the Holy Spirit immediately spoke in my heart and whispered in His usual small soft voice, “it’s the same way with your faith”. When your faith is tried you feel the pangs of despair but in reality our spiritual muscles are being strengthened. Pain indicates weakness. . Resistance makes makes us resilient.

The greater the resistance, the stronger the muscle, It’s just the law of physics. When you are treading on the treadmill of life on a steady but calculated pace, remember in time you will reach your destination. The pace is pre-calculated according to the task so that you don’t crash and burn before your designated time.
